Weightless

Our first project of the year was a levitation photoshoot called weightless. We had to use multiple exposures and photoshop to create something a long the lines of this..

The model would be lifted off the ground, giving the idea of 'weightlessness'. I had the pleasure of working with Annabelle brown. It was easy for us because we had really similar ideas and we live together, so we had a lot of fun coming up with ideas, a lot of them were really crazy and outrageous but we really wanted to push ourselves.

We ended up going with the idea of a sea creature emerging out of the water. We wanted to make it really editorial so we needed a decent make up artist. After about two weeks of struggling to find someone who was available, we contacted the hair and make up department at Newcastle college and there were two very keen first years, Kellie Parker and Maxine Cunningham! So that was good for us as we had 2, we let them be creative with it but told them our idea. As for a model, we had the amazing Jade Ashleigh Slavin who was brave enough to do the job.

THE PHOTOSHOOT

This was my biggest shoot to date so we needed a good team which included our 2 MUA's and then also 2 helpers along with myself and annabelle as photographers. We were shooting in water so we had to be careful with health and safety too. We had a trampoline in the water to lift jade so she could get a bit more elevation.

All in all we got some really successful images, and we were really happy with our outcome, the only bad thing was the tide that must of moved about 100 metres in about 3 hours or something. But never the less the outcome was a success. I had to actually jump in the water stupidly to create a wave which we would later edit on to the image to create the dramaticness we were after.

The Final Image!

After about 2 days worth of editing the water and attempting to perfect our image, I am proud to present to you our final image!...

So yeah! thats it, pretty happy with it though to be honest all though right now i'm sick of the sight of it! but feedback and stuff would be very much appreciated so let me know your opinions!  We also had to do an in situ image, so also after about another 2 hours of editing, heres my version of our image in a magazine! oh we also decided to link and advertise it with this perfume..
But anyway.. here is My in situ image. Im aiming for a distinction for it all so i hope its all paid off, i guess we will just have to wait and see!
