Still catching up with this blog! But a couple of weeks ago we had a visit from the photographer Anita Corbin! She currently is working on a big exhibition called first women, focusing on the women of the world who were the first to do amazing things! She currently has a couple of images up in the Discovery museum in Newcastle in the exhibition trailblazers, which also shows women who are scientists and juxtaposes them.
She was really interesting to listen to and to hear how she became so successful as a photographer inspired me. The way she looks up to women and the way she photographs them really shows each of their characters. I especially loved her older work, titled 'Visible Girls', i found myself really emerged in the photographs wanting to find out more about these interesting looking characters.
